It was a cool, early spring afternoon where the guys and gals from all over town got through the slush of the April storm to make it to the big bash. Ladies were all dolled up; wearing poodle skirts and red lipstick, guys in suits and fedoras. The night had music, dancing, some good grub and a pink Cadillac in the lobby. The night was April 19th, 1953.
Between the decorations, milkshakes and classic Frank Sinatra hits- Clair Hills Retirement Community had a blast from the past that brought everyone back to the good ol’ days. Helen, a resident from Clair Hills, said “if [people] like that era, a lot of [them] would enjoy the night and get their toes tapping”! Couples were dancing, the band was magnificent and the food was absolutely delicious according to the residents.
